install new KDE widget
 

I am attempting to download and install a new widget for KDE. I am logged in with my username (not as root) and I receive the following error.

Installation of /tmp/kde-jdolan///104557-minimon0.3.skz failed!

I presume that this is a permissions issue as my user account does not have the rights to install software. How can I install the widget without giving my user software install rights?

I tried this and KDE4 reported that installation had failed. However the widget appeared in the "Add Widgets"->"All Widgets" list of installed widgets and allowed me to add the newly installed widget to the desktop.
I don't know why KDE4 reports a failure but I would check the list of installed widgets shown in "Add Widgets" and just ignore the warning if they appear.
