install network card.

I just did a fresh installation of slackware 10.

I found that it cannot connect to the internet.

lsmod gives no output.

ifconfig, only the loopback interface is listed.

lspci gives the follows:
02:08.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corp. 82801CAM (ICH3) PRO/100 VE (LOM) Ethernet Controller (rev 42)

Anyone got any idea ?

Thanks a lot.

slackware install network card

whitefox; question: was the network card preinstalled before installing slackware? yes; remedy uninstall card & reinstall to allow os recognize card. then configure card to your needs.

I install it on a laptop, so the network card is installed before installation of slackware. It was recognized by slackware 9. I have tried to reinstall slackware, however, the card was not recognized for the second time either.
