install kde


I have installed Slackware without kde. How do I install kde without installing slack again?

Easiest way: insert the slackware cd/dvd, cd to /slackware/kde and run
Code:
installpkg *.txz
(as root)
Then run pkgtool and run the script for wmconfig to select xinitrc.kde
You can also download the packages, no difference.

If you have slackpkg already configured you can achieve the same with a simple

slackpkg install kde

if you have configured slackpkg you can also install its package set with a simple command

Hey,

it is not working for me, there are still many libs missing and i can't find them on the DVD...
i am running slackware64 14.0
