Install in GPT-BIOS

I got error when I want to do this, I have followed this site install grub.

http://docs.slackware.com/howtos:sla...r_installation

I followed it under "Grub2" but I donīt know if I do the right thing when chrooting?

I have a terminal open after installation and have not installed lilo

Some help would be nice please.

You chrooted into your mounted root partition from installer DVD/USB media and then did:

# grub-install --modules=part_gpt /dev/sda
# grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg

?

/dev/sda is the disk that contains your root partition?
You did set a BIOS boot partition (ef02) with cgdisk ?

I know that created it in cdisk and the installation rekognisized the EFI and put it in /boot/efi in /etc/fstab

If your machine has an UEFI firmware and you only want to install Slackware on it, why not just use elilo as suggested by the installer?

GPT that stands for GUID Partition table is a way to manage your hard disks partition, not a specific kind of BIOS. You can use either GPT or MBR in case of a BIOS firmware, but you have to use GPT in case of an UEFI firmware.

About the vocabulary: you have either an EFI or a BIOS firmware, not both. Speaking of an EFI BIOS would be like speaking of a Linux Windows
