instalation can't detect my fat32 extend partition
I'm trying to install slackware 9.0 but when i boot the cd it fails at:
detecting partitions:
the same happened to conectiva 8.0
it happens because i have windows 98 installed and it doesn't support 2 primary partitions, so i have an extended fat32 too and the setup fails when it try to detect it...
is there any extra parameter I may type at the boot or something???
Slack has no problems with "extended partitions",
and Win98 has no problem with two primary partitions.
The only problem with Slack & partitions I can
think of is if you used some sort of Partition Extender
like Ontracks Diskmanager to provide Win98 access
across the 8GB border.
i don't have error messages.. and it's not the extended partition the problem, but the logical, i was mistaken...
but, anyway:
i put the cd
reboot computer
the "boot:" prompt appears
i press return
it starts booting
when "detecting partitions" appears the computer simply crash...
i'm almost sure that it happens because of a conflict or something with the logical partition...
