Inquiring about the state of the SlackBook
Now that another release has come around, I wanted to start digging through docs.slackware.com and replace references with 14.0 to 14.1, and a thought hit me.
What is the state of the SlackBook? So far as I can tell, it has not been updated since about the beginning of 14.0, and even then it never mentions NetworkManager, etc. When I try to clone the git repo, my connection gets refused. Since there is so much new stuff in this release (like grub2), it would be lovely if the Book was updated for 14.1, but it seems to be stagnant. The SlackBook is what I learned Slackware - and Linux - from. Is work being done that I don't see yet? |
I'm currently busy writing something similar in french, based 100 % on Slackware. Here's a link to the work in progress. Please don't cannibalize. Also note that this is my editor's stylesheet, which is not meant to be WYSIWYG.

SlackDocs is the de-facto replacement.
