Infrared remote control problem

Hello everybody,
I have slackware 14, upgraded several days ago to 3.10.14 kernel (I did it with slackpkg upgrade, install-new, upgrade-all).

Before upgrading my system I had installed LIRCD and my intex tv card and it's remote control worked fine.
Now, after upgrading, I can't install LIRCD (i don't know which options to choose in configure menu), but still my remote control works.
The problem is that I can't set up it's buttons, because I don't know where to search for it's conf file. KDE settings states that there are no remote controls available and that i should correctly configure LIRCD.

Can you help me to fix this problem, either by helping me installing LIRCD or by explaining me how to configure without it?

Thank you in advance :-)

p.s. Problem configuring lirc 0.9.0 package is that I don't know what to choose - home-brew, tv card, irda/cir hardware...? Also, when I choose tv card I can't find my model (intex)...

There could be changes with the 3.10 kernel causing problems with lirc, but I haven't started testing 14.1 (and the 3.10 kernel). I use lirc 0.90 in 14.0. I use the slackbuild script from SBo. Be sure to rebuild the package.

All config files should be found in /etc/lirc*.

Testing lirc is done quickly by starting /usr/bin/irw in a terminal and pressing the remote buttons while watching the terminal for feedback.

I had lirc 0.9.0 with my first slack 14 installation, but after upgrading I'm no longer able to install that package :-/ And there is no lirc in my etc directory and that is what confuses me, because my remote control is working (but partialy, and i can't configure it which i want to do)
