I've just installed kde from the slack cd. I didnt include it before since im planning to install dropline. Then Ive noticed that dropline loads my cpu too much-moving windows from side to side of the screen raises the cpu load 30-50%. That is just not acceptable.
Back on the topic. Since no readme file is in the directory of KDE ( im too lazy to look in the other folders) i just typed in "installpkg *.pkg " Everything worked except when i log in as non root and open the konsole, it wont stop loading one after another. Can someone enlighten me on what i need to do.
It already stopped. Thanks to a pop up help interrupt (for whatever reason it stopped the konsoles) ). I closed all the 25 konsoles it opened so far then closed the help. It never happened again. Perhaps another mystery in life that will no longer be solved.
Maybe a small hardware problem cause you to open a bunch of konsoles when you clicked on it? do you use a wireless mouse?
I once had a major problem that caused my computer to crash because of a small hardware issue, I pressed "ctrl + T" to open a new window in netcape and my keyboard stoped working right at the moment I pressed T, so netscape keept opening many tabs really fast until my computer frooze, this was in WIN98 though.
i dont think so. KDE saves my session everytime i logged out. Hence my infinite konsoles get loaded even after reboot. Thats is without doing anything at all. After a few restart i gave up and logged in as root.
