Has anyone ever installed GD with PHP4 and got it to work in slack with apache? I can't seem to get it to pick up anything :-\ no matter how I install the php/gd. I am getting this error right now...
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: imagecreate() in /usr/local/apache/web/ifmon/include/chart.php on line 28
Which gives me the imperssion that the latest way I tried to install gd/hp didn't work at all. the other errors I was getting were about the ImageCreatepng or something, which also had to do with GD/PHP...
Here are the steps I am using to compile/install apache and php4... keep in mind gd 2 is already installed on the system, and either way if I keep the --with-gd or if I use --with-gd=/dir/to/gd it does the same thing. Can anyone shed some light on this?
1. gunzip apache_1.3.27.tar.gz
2. tar xvf apache_1.3.27.tar
3. gunzip php-4.3.1.tar.gz
4. tar xvf php-4.3.1.tar
5. cd apache_1.3.27
6. ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/apache
7. cd ../php-4.3.1
8. ./configure --with-apache=../apache_1.3.27 --with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql --enable-track-vars --with-gd
9. make
10. make install
11. cp libs/libphp4.a ../apache_1.3.27/src/modules/php4/
12. cd ../apache_1.3.27
13. ./configure --activate-module=src/modules/php4/libphp4.a
14. make
15. make install

I'm having problems to run ifmonigor @ Slackware too...
Did you solve your problem?
Not as of yet I havnt solved them. It seems as if I don't have the GD installed with all the proper graphics libraries.... I'm still working on the problem and hope to have it resolved soon after I get home from school for the summer.
