IceWM under Slack 9.1 problem

I have Slackware 9.1 installed on my system, and I just put IceWM on it.. now all the small fonts (taskbar, etc) is all distorted (kinda looks like braille :) I've tried IceWM Control Panel's 'IceWM Preferences' to increase the size of the fonts (both under user and root) with no luck.. I've tried switching the GUI (gnome, kde, fluxbox) and it still makes no difference...

Any ideas? I'm stumped

Check documentation included with X, and read about the font servers and the included fonts..

Ok, I've got it fixed.. I had to find a working font.. ended up using Courier Bitstream.. all the helvetica (which seem to be the defaults) fonts go braillish
