does anybody know how to configure the volume and media keys on this keyboard? i got the keyboard set up and its basic functions work fine, but i would like to be able to use the multimedia keys on it.

ok so now i found out that you can use showkey -s to find out the keycodes. but when i press any of the special buttons at the top between the email button and the standby button, none of then return any output. anybody else have this problem? and what can i do to map these keys?

Try 'Linux support for Easy Access and Internet Keyboards', http://lineak.sourceforge.net, no idea if it has built-in support for your keyboard, but it probably won't be hard to configure it if it doesn't.
