i'm trying to get lm_sensors to work with this kernel(had no truble with 2.6.20.7 kernel)
but on another machine i use and older 2.4.33.3 kernel
so i installed lm_sensors 2.10.1 as slack package with installpkg
and then run sensors -detect
i had to put some modprobes into rc.local
and some configurations in modules.conf
and i did
but the problem is when trying to modprobe i2c-isa
and modprobe via686a
those 2 modules could not be found
so is i2c allready compiled with the kernel? built in or as module?
and the same goes for via686a
i have found i2c source code to patch the kernel with
but why patch it if its allready there
but i can't find via686a patch for 2.4.x kernels
can anyone help me with this?

Check the kernel's .config file, should be somewhere on any of the download mirrors.
