Uh... so what is it exactly that you need help with?

dmx9595 08-25-2003 08:10 PM

people arent here to answer questions like "help me install slackware without formatting windows", read the documentation, search google.. sorry if it sounds harsh/mean but yeah you gotta help yourself first or atleast attempt to then if you need help, ask..

linux 22 08-25-2003 08:11 PM

everything!!!!!!!!!

linux 22 08-25-2003 08:13 PM

so then what is website for??????????

dmx9595 08-25-2003 08:16 PM

why would people waste there time thinking/typing/repeating whats already been done and better written in documentation.. read the slackware documentation, search google.com, read a book.., your supposed to help yourself first or atleast try to then if you still cant fix a certain problem you post and ask others for insight..

peace 08-25-2003 08:21 PM

Exactly, you have to be clear with your question and at least do a little research on your own first. Also, search this site and make sure you aren't being redundant with your post.

Oh well, The Person, try google (already been mentioned) , Slack docs (already been mentioned) or see the links in my signature. And try to adhere to the etiquette of this board, and most boards on the internet when participating.

Good.

:)

If you're stuck somewhere (sound doesn't work, internet won't start up), come back here and do a search. If after you've tried all solutions given on here previously things still don't work, feel free to come back and ask. You're always welcome. But this being Linux, we like you to discover things by yourself. Trust me, however frustrating it might seem while you're doing it, you'll thank us later for not holding your hand all the way.

zsejk 08-25-2003 08:48 PM

Hey.... you're not supposed to be here! You're supposed to be busy installing Slackware for like the next two hours or so, after which you're supposed to come back here all fullfilled-like and happy to see us loving the Linux community and the do-it-yourself mentality. What are you still doing here?!?! GO FORTH AND INSTALL!!!
