I Love Slackware!!!!!

Hello Every1,

I would just like to take the time to thank Linux and the Slackware distro. I Love it. WinXP was crashing 2 much so I decided to use Linux. I installed it and it ran beautifully. I was about to give up b/c I couldn't get my inet to work, but if finally did. It hasn't crashed once. WOOHOO!!!!!! If you feel like giving up. DON'T. It's worth it to stick in there. I'm learning so much now. I love google search :) Sorry about this, but I had to share my happiness with every1.

I recently switched to Slackware and must admit that I'm quite fond of it already.

The things you have to strive for tend to be the most fulfilling. I started seriously using linux 6 months ago and have had many frustrations. After a while, things start to gel and you get a glimps of what a true OS should be.

Linux has renewed my interest in computers and I was so dog tired of Windows with all its holes, patches, pop-ups, viruses and spy-ware.

Thanks everybody for bearing with us newbies :)

try google.com/linux :)

I feel the same.

I started with Kubuntu.. and it was windows with a different method of installing and everything free...but everything free I got from windows...i just used the free stuff :p... Then I researched and found out about Slackware and Gentoo... I started with Slackware and then was going to try gentoo..but guess what? I love Slackware..so I'm not even trying Gentoo... if Slackware works (after a week of configuring it, fluxbox, downloading programs, etc) why change? Now I have a super fast, sexy, cofigured-to-my-own-taste OS that I never Imagined I could have! So... if you haven't tried Slack... you really havent tried Linux. That's it...

@ php -- re: google.com/linux -- Really? LOL I must try that.. heh heh..

Congrats on your successes, Turkey, and many more to come. Happy Slacking!

Congratulations on your success, Turkey Android!
You are now officially a Slacker! Yep, Slack is the best OS......period. I love Slackware as well:-)
You have the best user name, that is fantastic:-)

Ummmmmmmmm... Slackware Gooooood! :)

mokele 05-08-2007 11:51 PM

Yeah, Slackware tends to have these effects on everyone
who try it. Count me in. I try a different distro every
now and then just to see if I can adapt to another one.
To no avail. As soon as I get back to Slackware I feel
at home.

Gives you a warm fuzzy feeling inside right? :)

All this slack callin' me,
back where it comes from.
It's such a crude attitude,
it's back where it belongs.

All the little kids growing up on the skids
are goin' "Slackware rocks!" "Slackware rocks!"
