i dont have 'ifup'


with my install of slack, i dont have the 'ifup' program/script

what package does it come in?

ifup is a Red Hat (perhaps some other distros based on it as well) thingy...

In standard Linux, try ifconfig <interface> up instead.

man ifconfig will give you more info.
