Though the CD downloads work just fine, but I don't want to download 6 discs. Is the links broken in some way, or is there something wrong with my connection?
OK, I tried those and 20 some odd mirrors I found in google but none of them work.
OH wait... I can't download from bittorrent because I am using a public WIFI access point and I can't configure ports. Though that shouldn't stop me from downloading something from a webpage, should it?

You only need either the first three (2 if you don't need the stuff in /extra) or the single dvd. I downloaded the iso files from the Russia http mirror - perestim ? (something like that). I got a decent bit rate, even from a public wifi.
httpd.conf is for a web server; it doesn't have anything to do with your connection :/.
I was using mod_proxy module in apache as a proxy. I couldn't find another way to connect... Is there a better proxy solution?
At any rate, I got the DVD downloading by using my server(the computer in my sig) and not this computer(not the one in my sig), but I decided to go with the CDs as downloading 3.8 gigs at 100 kB/s is just way too slow.
