What's the HPLIP status service that seems to have appeared in the fxce panel without my installing it?
This is IBM StinkBad and there are no HP peripherals attached to it.
Root's desktop didn't have it.

Root's desktop didn't have it.
To stop that service from starting up click on Applications menu--->Settings--->Session and Start up--->Application AutoStart---> then uncheck HP System Tray service.
