Howto setup VSFTPD start up at boot


HI all,

I just installed vsftpd on my slackware 10.1. How can I set it up so that it start up automaticly at boot.

You have 2 choices :

1. run it with inetd
edit /etc/inetd.conf and add or uncomment this line :

ftp     stream  tcp     nowait  root    /usr/sbin/tcpd  vsftpd
2. run it as standalone (I use it like this)
edit /etc/rc.d/rc.local and add this line :

/usr/sbin/vsftpd &
