howto make cgi work

hi!I want to make work guestbook in my personel web server and box,but it seems cgi won't work.error message is (Internal server error,page couldn't found)

has anyone experince about this?thanks

If you ar getting a page not found error then the address you are typing is probably wrong.

An internal server error suggests that the server couldn't run the script.

Take a look in your error_log file, there is probably more information about what went wrong in there.
