Fully aware of that. It doesn't change my opinion in any way whatsoever, that a Windows phone is technically better and more secure than an Android phone. But when a computing generation prefers Gnome over Fvwm, and a phone generation couldn't care less about security as long as they have their games and apps, what can you do?

Nokia, which was first destroyed and then bought by microsoft, has recently started a huge (at least in Finland) advertising campaign: "Nokia is now Android" (after having been windows for a while).

No, I was agreeing (and empathising) with you: I've demoed a Windows Phone (older than 10, but not by much), and found it pretty usable, much more so than Android. I have no idea why Microsoft would sink so much time and money into a mobile platform only to kill it off because it hasn't overtaken Android in market share in under two years. This is what, the third time they've done this in ten years?
