hi
I have gathered some PNG Slackware logos in different sizes and want to use them as whisker menu icon in xfce. I have pasted these logos to corresponding folders of usr/share/icons/menta (menta is the default icon theme of my desktop) but I can't see them in icon section of whisker menu properties. does it need further configuration?
it seems that the icon search tool only shows SVG icons, which have been copied (not symlinked) into the appropriate folder. Here is one for Slackware, but I'm not sure about its quality. You can put it here:
Then you will see it in the chosen category's list. In order to use PNG icons, you can search them as an "Image file" with the icon search tool. This is OK too in my opinion, as long as the icon is big enough to match your panel's size.

Reason: typo; rm brackets
I think the size matters and seems it need to be 'png' (transparent is better). Try something between 110x110 and 200x200 and see what happens.
Ops... I think I misread your post. If you need to change the launcher icon, right click the xfce logo, select 'properties' and point to your desired image. I use this orb ( resolution 100x100) placed inside '/usr/pixmaps'.

I got this by patching my main icon theme (Elementary Xfce) and replacing all the start-here* and distributor-logo* images by some Slackware icons. After this, you still have to define it manually. It's quirky but it works.

The slackbuild tries to download sources from microlinux repository. since I have manually downloaded sources in elementary-xfce-snapshot-20141217 folder, how to edit the salckbuild to look for sources in this folder?
