how to uninstall realplayer 8


I installed realplayer 8.0

could anyone tell how to uninstall it cleanly?

Did you use a .tgz package or source?

If you used a .tgz package, all you have to do is removepkg .
If you used source, tar.gz , all you have to do is cd to the directory where it is installed and make uninstall to uninstall the program.

i downloaded a file ending with .bin,
and the install-instruction was:

chmod it to executable and then execute it.

Then look for the directory it created and delete it. Look in /usr/local.
Atleast, I hope it will be that easy.

I would also do an updatedb and a locate realplay and delete those as well.

The beta RealOne is working well for me now.

Question uninstall realplayer8 help
