How to swith off cd-rom
Hello everyone!!
Some days ago my cd-rom broken and I swithced it off. But my Linux still searches for it (music CD in KDE). Couldnt you say, how to switch it off in Linux?

What do you mean, "switched it off"? I've never seen a CD-ROM that came with a power button.
Clarification, please!

I´ve unscrewed my box, took the CD-ROM out and demolished it

remove it from /etc/fstab, and.. if you want delete any symbolic link to its device.. or the device at all
