Question how to setup vsftd on virtualbox slack guest?

Hi all, I installed slackware 13.37 32 bit in a virtualbox vm for httpd web site testing. I am running the guest in slackware 13.37 64bit host with host only networking.

I can ping the guest and access the pages hosted via a web browser on the host. However I want to upload new sites to test via ftp to a dir on the guest at location such as /home/user/public_html and access them via the host.

Vsftp is enabled. But how would I set it up to be able to do this?

I use a rule to add ssh port to forwarding port in vb, for example 2222 so that i can use ssh/scp to access the guest vm from the host

Code:
VBoxManage modifyvm SlackVM --natpf1 "guestssh, tcp,,2222,,22"

This seems like a good solution, but my current knowledge level doesn't allow me to understand what you are saying unfortunately could you perhaps explain a bit more or point me to a site please?

Basically SlackVM is the image name on my machine
You can add lots of options when you install a guest OS, but some of it must be done on terminal like i mentioned above.
The above rule state that if i open a connection to port 2222 to the host IP, it will be redirected to the port 22 inside the guest host

You can find such tutorial by searching "headless installation virtualbox linux"
One of the site that provide this tutorial is howtoforge
