Hello all
How do I set Date and Time on SLackware?

Can someone give me the commands please?

i can't connect to the internet.

Hi,

date [MMDDhhmm[[CC]YY][.ss]
for instance it is now for me:
date 07061520
or
date 070615202005.25
(as root of course)

I remember do it from another way.. but seens nothing to work, so just one more tip you can set just the time with: #date -s 15:35:00

hmm, i can't find ntpdate on my system.. Would /usr/sbin/netdate do the trick ?

As a note, I suggested sg.pool.ntp.org time server,
as I see thick_guy_9 was in Singapore, more time
servers are available at :
http://ntp.isc.org/bin/view/Servers/NTPPoolServers

The generous NTPd folks actually prefer home users to use just plan ol' "pool.ntp.org". Is a round robin look up and tags a random server for updates. It's easy to remember too, which is always helpful.

Good advise ghight, I wasn't aware of this.
