how to run crontab job every 30 seconds
i was able to run crontab job every minute
by using */1
how to run it every 30 seconds for example
thanks a lot

I could be wrong about this, but I don't think there is any "seconds" directive to the time string for cron.
But maybe you can use .5 minutes?

cronttab follows the order of
minutes, hours, day of month, month, day of week
