That's interesting. I've installed to the 2nd hard drive w/o problem, and booted from there, but I've not done so with the 2nd drive formatted as UEFI.

An Idea ... go ahead and install to the 1st drive, then swap to be the 2nd drive. Reboot from the installation cd, then:
mount /dev/sb1 /mnt
mount --bind /proc /mnt/proc
mount --bind /sys /mnt/sys
mount --bind /dev /mnt/dev
chroot /mnt
edit your /etc/lilo.conf (if that's what it's still called with elilo), and your /etc/fstab and change the device names to /dev/sdb[1]. Then run [e]lilo. umount all of the above, reboot. Make sure your BIOS specifies the 2nd drive as the 1st boot device, and see if that works.

If you mean swapping as in swapping physically, that's not always possible without breaking the warranty.
