I am having problems getting my network up and running. I am currently trying to locate the /etc/rc.d/rc.modules file. However, it is not there. It says my network card may not be detected properly. I have a 3Com 3C905-TX PCI card. Is there a way to check to see if my network card is installed properly? I tried lspci but it says command not found.
I have the very basic installation of Slackware 8.1 with the 20 files. I have only added a couple other packages.
elvis
inetd
iptables
openssh
openssl
portmap
tcpip
I tried netconfig and setup all the parameters in there. Still doesn't work running /sbin/lspci. Which package contains lspci or whatever I need to run it.
