but it didnt work. I started reininstalling whole thing

One question

I installed disk 1 10.2 version and I am installing disk 11.0 . Will this going to cause any problems

the problems you'll encounter will mostly be outdated libraries and stuff...meaning several things might not work properly, if at all...

I assume that when you're saying you're going to reinstall Slackware 11.0 you mean you'll do install starting from disk 1 of Slackware 11.0.

If you are doing a fresh installation, e.g. I mean the partition(s) where you want to install Slackware don't contain any data (or you don't care about losing them), then when you reinstall slackware 11.0, select option 'format the partition" (or something saying that) after you've selected your TARGET.

see paragraph 3.4.4 here: http://slackbook.org/html/installati...p.html#AEN1023

Then, you'll install Slackware 11.0 on clean filesystem(s). No risk to have old Slackware 10.2 files around.

If you don't have a lot of data that you want to keep I'd just do a clean install of 11.0, start over. That way you won't have any problems:-)
It'll only take a short while to do the re-install.
