You need to make a group "camera" and give yourself membership. You'll also need to configure hotplug. We have a powershot 400 and digikam works just fine.

This at this link http://www.members.optusnet.com.au/~...stall-10.2.txt in section 18 you'll find my notes from when I set it up in slack-10.2.
