How to Get an Epson L555 Printer Working Under Slackware

So I just bought an Epson L555 All-in-One Printer/Scaner/Copier/Fax, and I'm having trouble getting it to work under Slackware with Ubuntu 14.04 32bits. I found some drivers in Epson with DEB format and install it and now i can print but not scan. I install iscan but not works and the network plugin no install, says dependency error.

I just want scan over wifi. The drivers i install was:

http://download.ebz.epson.net/dsc/se...h/searchModule (search l555 and linux as o.s)

Thank you for any answer or help

Your question is a it confusing. So, a wild guess:
In addition to driver you need iscan-firmware in Slackware (the error message said "dependency error"). I have no clue what to do in Ubuntu.

Please also read this as you need networking:

Is the printer connect to Ubuntu and you are trying to print to it from Slackware or vice versa or neither? Clarity would be useful.

This entry at the OpenPrinting database might help: http://www.openprinting.org/printer/...on-L550_Series.

I think i need move thread to other side of the forum

Use the report button to ask a mod to move the thread. That way all the replies won't be lost.

So, for all practical purposes, this is networked printer with its own IP address?

Hi, yes it is, the ip is 192.168.1.10 in the WiFi network, thank you so much

Heh. That's the same IP address I gave to my printer.:)

I think you will get further by approaching this as a networking problem, not as a wireless problem, assuming that you can see the printer on your network.

I don't know much about networking Epsons, as I have an HP and HPLIP makes it easy. I found a link on the Ubuntu Forums that might help; it's different model of Epson, but it's a place to start.
