How to "enable" Thai language for Linux
 

I am wondering if anybody out there would probably know how to do such thing for Slackware 9.1 . Linux is running great on my laptop except it "still" can not read or write Thai . I've seen someone did it on KDE or Gnome unfortunatly only windows manager I use are Window Maker and XfCE

OfficeTLE is a version of Open Office from Nectec or Chulalongkorn Uni I think with Thai language support all set up.
If you need Thai just for word processing etc then it is excellent, handles the word and space formatting very well.

It took a bit of tinkering with XFree86, but once I figured out what was missing it worked great.

If that is what you need then I can post my config file if it will be useful :)

I like my Linux to recognize Thai in general applications like web browsing, email, text edotor, Instant messenger, multimedia etc. I understand that I should configure each program by myself but lets start from configure the core system first :-) It is good to know that Office TLE will let you use Thai right after you install it Thanks anyway :-)
