How can I get access to this piece of shit? I want to put
in my own passwords, and that damn keyring thing
keeps getting in the way. Right now I am having extreme
problems getting on my internet with wicd and the
reason could be the initial authentication, it never
does ask me for a password, and I suspect this
damn password manager KDE keyring is the problem.
So how do I kill that sob?
I always kill the "wallet" feature right after I install. It has weird effects if you do it after entering passwords for things.
But here is how to disable wallet;
Settings -> System Settings -> Account Details -> KDE Wallet
UN-check "Enable the KDE wallet subsystem".
But like I said I have had issues doing this after entering passwords for things and rejecting the "wallet". Maybe someone else knows how to fix that.....

The solution for your issue is to leave it enabled, open kwalletmanager, delete any and all wallets, log out/in, then disable, log out/in again. And it will actually be disabled and should STAY disabled.

Thanks! I'll try that out next time I fire up my test rig.
