How to change priority of plugins in firefox? (flash/vlc issue)

Hi, i had installed npapi-vlc from AlienBOB's repository, however this takes over the flash plugin, producing a stream of errors.

I imagine the vlc plugin is trying to playback *.swf files as a video clip, and all flash applets / games will then show media buttons and a blank screen because vlc is trying to play them instead of the flash plugin.

Uninstalling the package for the vlc plugin reverts flash and it works as normal. Is there a way to install these alongside each other without this conflict?

I think this is a great question, and, I'll see if I can a solution for this issue if no one else comes to the rescue; in short, I'm interested in knowing the answer to your question as well.
