How many Slackware users?

I just found myself wondering: how many Slackware users are there in the world? I know how difficult - if not impossible - that thing is to measure. Any rough estimation nevertheless? Just curious.

Let's count:

#1 ;)

EDIT: Since people started to take my approach for real, I am running 1 homeserver, 1 desktop and 1 netbook exclusively with Slackware.

Seriously, I don't really think there are any measurable statistics. One could use the active subscriptions on the official Slackware shop or take some download statistics of the official or a frequent mirror. Besides those, I couldn't think of anything else.

I might post some rtorrent statistics. My server runs behind a 10Mbit upstream line and is serving 13.37 since it's release. I think, the 32bit and 64bit DVDs both have been uploaded more than 100 times each since then. Don't know how to use that as a statistic, though.

Here's another related question: I wonder how many computers these users have Slackware installed on?

I run Slackware on 4 of mine.

It is by no means perfect, and probably off by a magnitude or so, but https://linuxcounter.net/distributions/stats.html has a list of users and computers that have registered with their service.

Another question would be how many subscriptions or disks are ordered for each new version.

I have Slackware installed on my laptop, my desktop, the home fileserver (which is used by myself and my wife), the server at sonic.net's colo (which five other users use regularly, if only via IMAP), and seven servers in my "pocket cluster" in the garage (which used to be ten, but three nodes are down for repairs).

That's 11 systems + 7 users, here.

+1 "I'm sure you meant #1 to go to PV"
I'd say, further, that PV is the only real Slackware user -as soon as you've finished running 'setup' you qualify as a 'junior administrator' and are no longer running pure Slackware -extra 'JA' points are bestowed if you've succesfully cloned your original 'zipslack' installation onto a 'real' Linux partition...
