How I change the default ips for lan


How I change the default ips for lan????

At startup

I' m using slakware linux 10.2

well, netconfig actually works but I hate it overwrites the /etc/resolv.conf file -- that one is for DNS access and name resolving

you can change your default IP's, netmask and gateway on the /etc/rc.d/rc.inet1.conf file
just type
Code:
/etc/rc.d/rc.inet1 restart
and you should have your new address

don't forget to update your /etc/hosts file properly
