This is caused by the change introduced in -current's python which is now built using UCS-4
You may need to rebuilt every apps/modules that are python-based

Quote:
d/python-2.7.12-i586-1.txz: Upgraded.
Compiled using --enable-unicode=ucs4.
The upstream default for Python Unicode is ucs2, but ucs4 is more widely
used and recommended now. Any Python scripts or binaries that use UCS-2
will need to be recompiled. These can be identified with the following
grep command: grep -r -l PyUnicodeUCS2 /usr 2> /dev/null

Not sure it's related, but see this thread.

EDIT Willy was faster and gave the good answer.

Your GCC output is in Spanish? I do not understand it but you forgot to link the math library. "-lm"

-g3 -O3 might not be a sane combination. Actually, why not get rid of both and try with -O2. -O3 can break a bunch of things if the developers did not intend the program to be compiled with that level of optimization.

The goonies.sh program seems to be calling the X server with an opcode that is most likely no longer supported. Some old games from the 90s will unfortunately no longer work without modification of the source code. If there is a DOS version, and you don't mind running an emulator, might I suggest DOSBox?

Yes my GCC output is in Spanish, when i try compile i just use
Code:
make all
because the source code don't have "configure" just make file

the arguments like "g3 -O3" i dont specify, that are by default in the makefile, if you don't say it, i don't notice that. under Gentoo i learn to use

Code:
export {C,CXX}FLAGS='-O2 -fPIC -march=native -mtune=native -pipe'
export OPTFLAGS='-O2 -fPIC -march=native -mtune=native -pipe'
By default when i want to compile something for my hardware

I try editing the "Makefile" (goonies_remake_src/build/linux/Makefile)

changing :
Code:
CFLAGS = -g3 -O3 -Wno-write-strings `sdl-config --cflags` -I/usr/X11R6/include
To
Code:
CFLAGS = -Wall -Wno-sign-compare -Wpointer-arith -Wformat-security -Wswitch-enum -Wunused-parameter -Wstrict-aliasing -Wcast-align -Wmissing-field-initializers -g -O2 -fPIC -Wno-write-strings `sdl-config --cflags` -I/usr/X11R6/include -pipe

if i try with the follow on the Makefile
Code:
CFLAGS = -g -O2 -Wno-write-strings `sdl-config --cflags` -I/usr/X11R6/include
When i try to compile it i get this
Code:
gcc -g -O2 -Wno-write-strings `sdl-config --cflags` -I/usr/X11R6/include `sdl-config --libs` -L/usr/X11R6/lib/ -lSDL_image -lSDL_mixer -lGL -lGLU src/2DCMC.o src/auxiliar.o src/debug.o src/font_extractor.o src/geometrics.o src/GinterfaceBrowser.o src/GinterfaceButton.o src/GinterfaceConfirmation.o src/Ginterface.o src/GinterfaceMessage.o src/GinterfaceSButton.o src/GinterfaceText.o src/GinterfaceTextInput.o src/GLTile.o src/GLTManager.o src/GMap.o src/GMapLayer.o src/GO_bat.o src/GO_bigrock.o src/GObject.o src/GObjectCreator.o src/GO_bone.o src/GO_bridge.o src/GO_bullet.o src/GO_cagedoor.o src/GO_character.o src/GO_closingwall.o src/GO_coin.o src/GO_drop.o src/GO_dropgenerator.o src/GO_enemy.o src/GO_entrydoor.o src/GO_exitdoor.o src/GO_fallingrock.o src/GO_fallingwater.o src/GO_flame.o src/GO_fratelli.o src/GO_ghost.o src/GO_item.o src/GO_jumpingskull.o src/GO_key.o src/GO_lava.o src/GO_musicalnote.o src/GooniesScript.o src/GO_pipe_water.o src/GO_rope.o src/GO_skeleton.o src/GO_skull.o src/GO_skulldoor.o src/GO_trickyskull.o src/GO_water.o src/GO_wateropening.o src/GO_watersplash.o src/keyboardstate.o src/Level.o src/LevelPack.o src/main.o src/MusicManager.o src/PlacedGLTile.o src/ranrotb.o src/SDL_glutaux.o src/SFXManager.o src/sound.o src/SoundManager.o src/state_credits.o src/state_editor.o src/state_endsequence.o src/state_game.o src/state_gameover.o src/state_gamestart.o src/state_howtoplay.o src/state_interlevel.o src/state_konami.o src/state_mapeditor.o src/state_msx.o src/state_splash.o src/state_titleanimation.o src/state_title.o src/Symbol.o src/TheGooniesApp.o src/TheGoonies.o src/Vector.o -o goonies

But don't work xD . i am thinking to install for example Ubuntu 8.04 in VirtualBox, for recompile the binary but changing the "CFLAGS" on the make file for use O2 instead O3

Yes i am DOSBox user i play a lot of game with that and well i test a lot of games under GNU/Linux i put the mayor part of that on my blog (in spanish, i am from venezuela) xD

Well i want to compile the Python 2.7.13 Source code, but how i can generate a package for my Slackware64 14.2 for use with installpkg ???

Have a look at Pat's SlackBuild for python.

https://slackbuilds.org/mirror/slack...urce/d/python/

It should automatically set the correct version based on the source code that is in the directory. Also note, he has the doc tarball in there as well and the SlackBuild uses it during the process. It might be beneficial to grab it and include it in there.

Right now i notice if i try to run "playonlinux" i get the follow :

Code:
$ playonlinux
shell-init: error al obtener el directorio actual: getcwd: no se puede acceder a los directorios padre: No existe el fichero o el directorio
shell-init: error al obtener el directorio actual: getcwd: no se puede acceder a los directorios padre: No existe el fichero o el directorio

Please install python before trying to run this program
But the solution is very simple
Code:
su -c "joe /usr/share/playonlinux/bash/find_python" root
Inside the file
Code:
search_python () {
        POL_PYTHON=""
        while true; do
                # list of interpreter names to try, in order
                next_python "python"
                next_python "python2.7" . . .
i added `next_python "/usr/bin/python"` below the line # list of interpreter names
Code:
search_python () {
        POL_PYTHON=""
        while true; do
                # list of interpreter names to try, in order
                next_python "/usr/bin/python" # >> i add this line to fix it
                next_python "python"
                next_python "python2.7"
and now is working again

The defaults in the makefile do not link the math library, so you need to add the "-lm" option. Like so:

Code:
gcc -g -O2 -Wno-write-strings `sdl-config --cflags` -I/usr/X11R6/include `sdl-config --libs` -L/usr/X11R6/lib/ -lSDL_image -lSDL_mixer -lGL -lGLU -lm
Somewhere in the makefile there should be a LIBS, or LDFLAGS section with '-lSDL -lGL-lGLU" etc. Add "-lm" to the end of that line. The linker can not find the "atan2" function because the math lib is not linked.

Probably that old version of GCC did not need that flag, but you need it now.

The Fullscreen mode with old games i solved, compiling manual from a Virtual Machine with Ubuntu 8.04 LTS. changing some lines in the make files, and compiling using "-O2" instead "-O3" (The default in the original makefile) and with some updates for my Slackware64 14.2, right now

The unique things don't working yet, is applications like :

gnote
tomboy
alacarte
menulibre
bleachbit
