How does pat build his kernels?

I noticed that the huge kernel is pretty much everything you can think of. Is that built by using "make allyesconfig"? Generic would use "make allmodconfig"? Just wondering. I use the generic kernel and it works great, but lets say i would like to use a new kernel. I don't really understand some of the new options in it.

thanks

I'm not an official representative from slack but from what I've seen those kernels are configured with the most common hardware but I don't think they have everything inside of it (or as modules). I believe there's some logic and good sense in the choices so not to compromise the system's performance.

The answers you seek can be found on any Slackware mirror site.

Like this one for example:

ftp://carroll.cac.psu.edu/pub/linux/...rent/source/k/

Look under the source/k directory.

Talking His wife does build the kernels. That's why Patrick is the Master

Yes, people. Read the changelogs.

So far I haven't been able to do that. (I have to state that no woman has made me compile a kernel *specially* for her either).

Any man or woman capable of convincing his/her spouse to compile a kernel for them is worth of praise!
