How do you get video thumbnails in Thunar and Dolphin

What's the current way to get video thumbnails in Thunar and Dolphin?

I don't have access to my Slackware systems right now, and I thought I'd ask here first.

My impression is that with Thunar, you just install gst-plugins-ugly to get GStreamer to support the video formats, and then Tumbler and therefore Thunar will start displaying video thumbnails. I'm also under the impression that ffmpegthumbnailer is not supported on a stock Slackware install, although you can recompile Tumbler to use it. Is this correct?

I have not had a chance to look into how to get video thumbnails in Dolphin.

In Dolphin most formats will display thumbnails by default with the "Preview" view option, either by itself or as an option on "Detailed View". There is also a handy slide bar to alter the size of the preview rendered.

With Dolphin as Enorbet said but if not try "Control" > "Configure Dolphin" > "Services" > "Download New..." think I've seen it in there?

Thanks, enorbet and jamison20000e. Turns out it's actually Control -> Configure Dolphin -> General -> Previews and then the checkbox for "video files". At least, it works with Dolphin from the KDE 4.12.5 packages (from Alien Bob) that I'm using.

I just tested Thunar, and video thumbnails for video files (WMVs, MP4s, FLVs) are already working.

I guess there was nothing to set up.
