how do I use transset? of Xorg

This is a little newbie question cause I totally forgot how to use transset with Xorg. I have it enable in my xorg.conf.

xcompmgr works smooth I put it in my konsole xcompmgr -c and it work fine, so I was trying to run transset with transset .2 or transset alone in my konsole my mouse change but when I click the window I want to make transparent nothing happends and my mouse went back to normal.

Could somebody refresh my mind and tell me what I am doing wrong?

Yes I run transset on xfce or fluxbox and the same issue happends like KDE. I run transset in a konsole like this:

marian@slackware:~$ transset .2
got arg .2
d is 0.2

so my mouse changes, I click some windows to make all transparent and don't happend nothing and my mouse went back to normal. Not even any error message, after this issue happends transset closed? or I don't know this is the message that appears in konsole after my mouse went back to normal>

opacity 0x33333333
Set Property to 0.2

What could I be missing?
