create a file /home/you/.xinitrc containing "exec fluxbox" if you start with startx. to add it to the gdm menu you should be able to create a file in somwhere like /etc/X11/Sessions containing the same thing.
For example, for testing purposes I installed fluxbox in the /opt/fluxbox directory (it could have been in the /usr/local directory). Then started it like this
startx /opt/fluxbox/bin/fluxbox
Then after all test was done, I made the correct entry in the /etc/X11/xinit directory like this:
(I use vi but you can use any other editor)
vi xinitrc.fluxbox
then added this line
exec /opt/fluxbox/bi/fluxbox
Saved the file, made it executable, something like chmod +x xinitrc.fluxbox did the trick. Then next time I issued the xwmconfig command, flux was there.
