I just install *tried installing* Slackware 9.1 onto my HD

i got the old one becase is a faily old and slow computer

anyway now whenever i turn on the computer and it boots the OS all i see is a bunch of 9's

whats wrong?

2 things are wrong:

first, this has got to be the most awful thread title I have read in a long time

second, lilo needs to be reinstalled. Boot from disk 1 and follow the instructions to boot into your system. Then reinstall lilo to the MBR.

I agree with the first thing......and the second too.

I would also just go with Slackware 10.2, there is nothing in Slackware 10.2 (unless you specifically enable it) that will make 10.2 run slower than 9.1 in any significant way.
