What is the correct method for enabling triple-buffering for an nVidia 260 video card?

Yes - and no. what I mean is that I have seen the commands in question displayed with quotes and without quotes (and sometimes with brackets), which I find rather confusing, considering how 'picky' Slackware can get when entering commands.

You can look at /var/log/Xorg.0.log to see if it's being applied.

It isn't being applied (which doesn't help very much).
