Help!! No motherboard sensors detected.

Hi, I'm a slack newbie and a linux newbie too. My problem is that when I use gkrellm I can't monitor the sensors of the motherboard (fan, voltaje, temp); gkrellm says: "No sensors detected". In windoes I can monitor all the sensors with the Intel Active Monitor.
Mi configuration is:
Intel Pentium 4 1.7 GHz
Intel D850MV motherboard
256 Mb RIMM
Slackware 10.0 with 2.6.7 kernel
KDE 3.2.3

When I use the command "uname -i" and "uname -p" they show "unknown" in both.

Tell me if I have to post some configuration files because I don't now what to post.

Thanks and sorry for my english!!.

sensors-detect is the config tool for lmsensors.

i2c and lm_sensors are in the kernel now (2.6). But what you need is lm_sensors and compile the userspace programs. The instructions how to do that are on the lm_sensors website :)

Are you using the default Slackware 2.6.7 kernel
or did you build your own?
I believe by default several of the acpi functions are
built as modules.
Do a lsmod to see if their loaded. (fan, processor, thermal, and such)
