Help Frame buffer screwed up

Hello guys, so here's the problem:
I upgraded the my system according to the security indications on slackware.org so I typed:

upgradepkg kernel-source-2.4.24-noarch-1.tgz
upgradepkg kernel-modules-2.4.24-i486-1.tgz
upgradepkg kernel-source-2.4.24-noarch-1.tgz
upgradepkg alsa-driver-0.9.8-i486-2.tgz
sbin/lilo
and all went fine..
Then when I typed startx I had an error from X about nvidia drivers so I typed :
sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-5328-pkg1.run
and everything was compiled and installed correctly (as far as I know)
and I could jump into X w/out any probs but....now everytime I logout or hit CTRL-ALT-F2
so when I basically try to use the frame buffer, I see nothin but some colored pixels scattered around my monitor.
Can U help me PLS to solve this issue.
Thx in advance.

it's well known NVIDIA drivers bug
uninstall the driver you have now (NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-5328-pkg1.run --uninstall)
download this one: http://download.nvidia.com/XFree86/L...6-1.0-4363.run
and run it, this will (maybe :) solve your problem
