Having issues with slackrepo

I've been spending the last few days trying to get slackrepo to build some packages for slackware64-current and I keep getting the following error:
Code:
mount: /tmp/slackrepo.GTPmvl/chrootdir: mount(2) system call failed: Too many levels of symbolic links
ERROR: Failed to mount /tmp/slackrepo.GTPmvl/chrootdir/
My TMP variable is set to "/tmp/%REPO%"
I'm running this on a x86_64 virtual machine that I built as current directly from the media, so I didn't install 14.2 and upgrade it to current.
Any thoughts?

You nailed it on the head, thank you! I setup my fstab to use a tmpfs at /tmp and it works beautifully.
