Misunderstanding. I put your name in Hebrew just for my, your, and the other people fun. The recipe below your name concerns the Hebrew font and keyboard in the console mode. I published it for your fun. I don’t suggest you to use your Hebrew name here or there. I just proposed you to play with the Hebrew font and keyboard for a while.

I don’t expect you’ll code my application. It’s my application – not yours. After I published the above post I designed the Hebrew font for my application and I tested it. It seems it works as it should. As you can guess I did it for fun. I reconsidered also my request to you. The full installation of my application is slightly complicated and isn’t necessary in order to help me with the Hebrew language.

I have two kind of the problems and two requests to you:

My application uses small characters. Their size is 5×8 pixels. So in order to design the Hebrew fonts I was forced to scale them to that size. Because I don’t know Hebrew I didn’t see enough Hebrew characters in my lifetime to be sure how they should look. As a result I’m not sure I designed the Hebrew font in an optimal way. As you can guess in the case of such small characters each pixel is important.

The sample Hebrew characters ל ,א, and ן that I designed look like:

The first fits the basic height and width of that font. The second has an ascent. The third has an descent (goes below the baseline) and is narrower than the basic width.

But maybe the following design would be better:

I have such doubts in the case of all 27 Hebrew characters. Now you see the scale of the problem.

I’d like to ask you to inspect that font and reconsider every single pixel. It’s my first request to you. In order to make it comfortable for you I made the screenshoot of the enlarged character table. I’ll send it to you when I’ll finish the present post.

My application uses the suitable plugins to read different websites and display the shortened content such as the headlines. After I designed the Hebrew font I started to look for some suitable Hebrew website in order to write the sample plugin. I inspected a lot of the websites and I failed. Most of them are the sites concerning the Jewish religion or customs. A lot of the websites are dating sites for the Jewish people or the Jewish equivalents of the international sites such as YouTube. I inspected about one hundred of the sites and I found just two barely suitable for my purposes: http://www1.bizportal.co.il/ and http://www.news1.co.il/.

Both these websites are good for my purposes because they change the content everyday (the first is about business and the other publish the news). There are the headlines there that I could grab using the plugin and there’s the other content that I could skip.

Unfortunately the code of both these sites is overcomplicated. I wrote in the past the plugins for the complicated sites but I understood more or less the languages used on those sites. As for Hebrew I don’t understand it at all so I can’t distinguish the relevant content from the irrelevant one.

I look for the websites that change frequently the content, have distinct headlines, and concern different subjects such as news (politics, business, sport, culture, etc.), music charts, new technologies, etc. I’m not interested in the sites concerning Jewish religion, traditional customs, arranging marriages, dating, sex, toys, gadgets, etc.

So in my second request to you I’d like ask you to send me a few addresses of the Hebrew websites such as described above.
