Slack works really well on my servers which are small celeron network boxes. I tried (just to see what some things were like) other distros but you need really new fast boxes for most of them. Slack just goes on easy and runs very well.

I've been tempted to try FreeBSD again (and eventually probably will). But I've become so accustomed to the hardware support that linux offers compared to BSD (yes I do have a few odd needs).
