The hosts-ms file was created manually using various lists on the web. The hosts-ms and hosts-fb files are available at my blog.

I have since added /etc/hosts-cryptomining and /etc/hosts-mozilla.

I use a shell script to fetch each file, strip comments, merge with existing files, and delete duplicates. Not one of my better scripts but one of my first I wrote about 15 years ago . I should write a new script from scratch but the script is functional. I've been too lazy to write something better. Perhaps a winter doldrum project.

looks like it has been removed. you might need to use an older kernel or a newer dnsmasq or ???
v5.2-rc1
v5.1

‘SIOCGSTAMP’ has been renamed to ‘SIOCGSTAMP_OLD’ or ‘SIOCGSTAMP_NEW’ in newer kernels. You could try to figure out a sed command. I cannot run newer kernels on my testrig.

https://github.com/oracle/graal/issu...ment-519126806

You could try adding this to the SlackBuild:
Code:
sed -i 's|SIOCGSTAMP|SIOCGSTAMP_OLD|' dnsmasq/dhcp.c

I added a temp uid/gid requirement to the SlackBuild. I think that there is one more needed.
You don't need to rebuild, just add the user/group.

It's also going to need a rc.pihole to manage starting/stopping.

BTW, I am currently using the stock php and no lighttpd on a clean install. (XFCE only, no KDE)

And it looks like the glib.patch in /patches would fix the SIOCGSTAMP issue on newer kernels.

There is also https://slackbuilds.org/repository/1...k/AdGuardHome/, which is similar to the Pihole

I re-built using the sed command so I can continue using 5.3.11. All went well. Thanks

I made a couple of tweaks to pi-hole-ftl, but I'm going to work on dumbing down php before working on pi-hole.

Here is my list, so far 4,730,020 domains blocked. Pi-hole removes 2.3M duplicates so I could be at 7M. Feels good my 9 yr old daughter can surf the net in peace. My goal is to get a super block list and remove redundancy and have everything in one place. I have read people are getting 10 mil plus combing hosts/blocklist files. The adult blocklist I use blocks 1.8 mil. If one needs to get to a site that is blocked, just whitelist and go about your business. I had to remove a couple lists because of the format PH couldn't read. I'm trying to get to the 10M slot.
