Is it that time already? 26 years. Good God. Somebody needs to bake a blue Slackware cake.

If I am still breathing in 10 years and Pat is still cranking releases while listening to his Grateful Dead collection, I will be twice as old as Slackware and Pat will be the same age I am now. Cue the Twilight Zone theme song.

I started using Linux and Slackware in 2005. Since then, I have wondered here and yon, but I always come back to Slackware.

Did anyone notice this on the changelogs for current, or has this been there? "Current (pre-release) ChangeLog for x86_64 "

I was just thinking, if Slackware disappeared tomorrow, what would I do? Well, I guess continue running Slackware for awhile, but then... I would probably use Debian, but then if I wanted to do custom upgrades of packages I would have to deal with making them play nice with apt. Ah, well, no point in worrying about hypotheticals. Happy Birthday Slackware! Here's to many more.
